Discover Our Digi Class
Digi Class is a technology-enhanced learning program at SD Islam Al Azhar 52 Sidoarjo that integrates iPads into everyday classroom experiences. More than simply replacing textbooks with digital devices, Digi Class empowers students to become active learners who explore ideas, create meaningful work, collaborate with others, and communicate their understanding in creative ways. Technology is not the final goal—it is a tool that strengthens meaningful learning and prepares students with the knowledge, skills, and character needed for the future.
Our approach to mobile learning encourages students to move beyond consuming information and become creators of knowledge. Using their iPads, students can produce presentations, videos, digital posters, eBooks, handwritten notes, and collaborative projects while developing critical thinking, creativity, communication, and digital literacy. Every learning experience contributes to a digital portfolio that documents each student’s progress and achievements over time.
To support these learning experiences, Digi Class utilizes a carefully selected ecosystem of educational applications, including Keynote, Pages, Numbers, iMovie, GarageBand, Freeform, Notes, and Al Azhar Digital Library and Learning Management System (LMS). These tools enable students to read, write, create, collaborate, and present their ideas in engaging and meaningful ways.
The iPad also strengthens the implementation of the Cambridge Curriculum through Cambridge Digital Resources, giving students seamless access to interactive learning materials, digital textbooks, practice activities, and multimedia content. These resources enable students to revisit lessons, complete independent learning tasks, and explore concepts more deeply at their own pace, while teachers can integrate high-quality Cambridge content into everyday classroom instruction. This combination of internationally recognized curriculum and purposeful technology creates a richer, more engaging, and future-ready learning experience.
A successful digital classroom also requires effective classroom management. During lessons, teachers guide student learning using Apple Classroom and Jamf Teacher, while all student devices are centrally managed through Jamf School. This management system allows teachers to provide the right learning resources, guide classroom activities, and maintain student focus throughout each lesson.
Creating a safe and responsible digital learning environment is an essential part of Digi Class. Only approved educational applications are available on student devices, device usage follows classroom learning objectives, and digital citizenship is continuously reinforced through guidance on communication, responsibility, and ethical technology use. With secure device management and ongoing monitoring, students are able to learn confidently in a digital environment that is safe, focused, and supportive of their academic and personal growth.
